Our home was constructed in four phases over a period of 50 years. The character and history of the original building built under the loving direction of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Martha, combined with the modern architectural design of our cottages, provides our Home with five communities. While each community has its own unique features and flavors, staff in each community excel in providing loving, dignified and excellent care to our residents.
Life at the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home
Our residents are involved in life activities from the simple daily pleasures such as that cup of tea with the morning paper, to family celebrations, to organized group activities such as being part of nature on a drive around our beautiful coastal communities or participating in town and county celebrations such as the Antigonish Highland Games Parade.
Our Monthly Events Calendar is updated the first of each month.
